I was diagnosed HIV+ in 1996, I was 14. I made the decision that I was not going to let it beat me. Since then I've come out as gay, but I am still scared outa my wits about coming out as HIV+. People who I thought I could trust and who I thought were my friends could not run fast enough to get away from me. I pledge right here and now to be open not only about being gay but also about being HIV+ I will wear the red ribbon and the wristband etc to raise awareness and encourage people to ask me questions. We're in the 21st century; it high time we ditched the stigma surrounding HIV!
